To master the differences between "there" and their, keep in
mind some few simple rules for there and their: There is a noun, an adverb, a
pronoun, or an adjective, but it does not show possession. Only the word their (not
there) shows possession. Their is almost always followed by a noun.

There are many players in the ground.
There are many flowers in the garden.
There are two cars on the road.
There is a little milk in the jug.
There are birda in the tree.
There arw one hundred apples on the apple tree.
There are ten students in the class room.
There are ten books in the room.
There is cat under the table.
